On this episode of our MiSTer series are taking a look at how to set up 5X scaling mode on MiSTer including what settings you need to change in the INI file, why you would want to utilize 5X scaling mode in the first place and how to make changes in the core menu to enable 5X video scaling mode!
You can make the changes in the INI script on the MiSTer FPGA itself or use the INI generator shown in the video here : link is dead
5X mode works in Super Nintendo, Nintendo Entertainment System, Neo Geo, Sega Genesis / Mega Drive and PC Engine! That’s what I tested on MiSter!
