MiSTer FPGA DE-10! Lightgun Games on LCD TVS! GunCon3 Support Tutorial for PS1, Genesis and More!

This has been one of the most requested MiSTer videos lately; GunCon 3 support on MiSTer so you can play stuff like Point Blank, Time Crisis, Duck Hunt and more on your LCD TV! Because we all know traditional lightguns like the GunCon and GunCon2 are great for retro gaming on CRT TVs but they just DO NOT WORK on modern flat panel LCD/OLED TVs!

Patreon Thanks : Seth Peterson, Tim Hugall, John Thompson, Paul Daniel, Porch, Jon Anderson,

Mike Puelinckx, Shad Uttam, Dan L and James Mann!

I asked, you answered…and I try to listen 🙂 Of all the requests for new content on the channel one of the most frequently asked for videos is a series on the Terasic DE-10 Nano MiSTer FPGA hardware…so here it is! It’s a retro gaming showdown!

On this episode of our MiSTer series we will be taking a look at how to get the Namco GunCon 3 (originally shipped with Time Crisis 4 for PlayStation 3) working on your MiSTer; how to set the IR sensors up, how to assign buttons and controllers to your GunCon in the MiSTer menus…and most importantly how to have some retrogaming fun!

Questions? Comments? Just leave them below and I will do my best to answer each and every one of them!
