Sometimes things surprise you…like getting a message from a subscriber and reading « 32X is on MiSTer » and responding « no »? and then being sent a GitHub link…with a new Sega 32X core! Retro gaming is just weird like that sometimes! and now there is a new version of the core out that makes some much needed and appreciated sound fixes to certain games!

I asked, you answered…and I try to listen 🙂 Of all the requests for new content on the channel one of the most frequently asked for videos is a series on the Terasic DE-10 Nano MiSTer FPGA hardware…so here it is! It’s a retro gaming showdown!
SRG320 has been working on a Sega Saturn FPGA core for MiSTer for awhile now…and if you don’t know the Sega 32X uses a very similar Hitachi SH-2 chip to Sega Saturn…so it’s no surprise SRG320 was able to get a Sega 32X FPGA core up and running! Sure the 32X wasn’t the most successful add-on of all time…but its still a fun piece of equipment. It just expands on what the Sega Genesis / Sega Mega Drive can do…and it uses some of the basis of the Sega Genesis FPGA core from MiSTer! It’s a retrogaming family tree
