MiSTer FPGA – Daimakaimura (Ghouls ‘n Ghosts) / Capcom CPS-1 Arcade

Might not seem like much, but this is my first time getting to stage 4 on one quarter in Ghouls ‘n Ghosts for any platform! This game has kicked my ass for years, and recently I’ve been getting much further than I used to. Maybe some day I’ll be able to clear at least one loop on a quarter. The game is fun as ever and as frustrating as it can be at times, there is always a feeling of learning something new.. some little strategy to help next time. Classic Capcom, and a worthy successor to the original in every way.

There are some audio issues with the current core, when inserting coins and also when music tracks start. Some of the SFX volumes are suspect also, but I remember them being loud in this game so maybe that’s just normal, or they are just filtered differently. Gameplay feels rock solid though.
