I asked, you answered…and I try to listen 🙂 Of all the requests for new content on the channel one of the most frequently asked for videos is a series on the Terasic DE-10 Nano MiSTer FPGA hardware…so here it is! Retro gaming goodness.

On this episode of our MiSTer series are taking a look at the work in progress Sharp X68000 by Kitrinx. If you don’t know the X68000 it is a Japanese exclusive PC that hosted some of the best versions of the best games of all time. Final Fight, Akumajo Dracula (Castlevania), Parodius, Gradius, etc etc…it’s got shmups, fighting games, beat em ups, side scrollers…the whole nine yards! It’s retro gaming gold! But sadly the X68000 is also EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE so being this close to a finished core for MiSTer is legit amazing!

Interesting too the X68000 was used to program a lot of Capcom’s arcade games as well as for Neo Geo. The retrogaming pedigree on the X68000 is HUGE!

This is NOT a tutorial. This is a WIP core for MiSTer. It needs to be self installed and I am NOT showing you how in this video. It should be considered advanced MiSTer knowledge. Just a heads up!
